p.s. Hey, greetings from Los Angeles. ** JM, Hi. If it’s wishy-washiness for reasons of furthering, it’s more wish than wash. Or something. *Jet-lag typing.* Check in whenever it feels right. All news and hellos would be awesome. Have a great everything until I see you next! And thanks about the humor, and it’s not even mine! Well, framing is a big part of comedy, I suppose. ** David Ehrenstein, Hi, D. Guibert and Foucault were very close, I think, or the fictional Guibert sure made it seem so. Guibert’s ‘The Compassion Protocol’ is also great. ** gregoryedwin, Hey, man! So great to see you!!! Yes, yes, such a loss about Susan Hiller. Her work is so immense and fascinating. I need to restore (and probably heavily upgrade) my old Day about her. Your life sounds nice on so many levels. I hope you’re getting some writing time in there. Love, me. ** kier, Big up, Kier-ster! We’re scrambling a bit to figure out DVD extras. We don’t have any unused footage from the film that’s usable or behind the scenes stuff. An interview with us … I don’t know. We’re trying to think fast. Ha, no snow here. A bit on the tops of the hills. We got a delay on finishing the poster, so we’ll finesse it when we get back to Paris. It’s just organising the text, and what text, and what size the drawing(s) will be really. Really great luck with the application! Oh, wow, if the PGL Oslo thing happens, and we still haven’t gotten news, so I am getting a bit worried, we can probably see your show, which would be insane! Thanks about the jet lag. It always take a few days to tell how bad it’ll be. Bunches of love! ** Keatonahah, Lust rocks, but I don’t have to tell you that, ha ha. Thanks for the wishes. New stuff by you. I’ll take my cloud of brain over there. Everyone, New stuff by Keaton over on his blog. Join me in plowing the goods by clicking here. ** Misanthrope, Thanks, bud. Whew, so far so good then on your betterness of feeling. Dig! ** Steve Erickson, Hi. Excellent news about your arm indeed! Thanks about the trip. Looking’ good so far apart from mental haze. ** Statictick, Hi, Nicholas. Well, that’s awesome new about the possible re-connection with Hebb and the legendary collab. Take care! ** HaveANiceLife, Hi there. What are the odds? So StarlowDellion liked his reply to someone’s tumblr comment so much that he repurposed it to try to lure in Masters?! What are the odds? Good to see you. ** Okay. Today’s restored post is exactly what it appears to be, so … enjoy hopefully? See you, ideally from less inside a cloud, tomorrow.

The entrance to the FOX lot was dominated for many years by the massive street set for the “Before the parade Passes By” number from “Hello Dolly!” (1969) That’s all gone now save for a smidgen of side streets sometimes used as sets for TV shows ike “How I Met Your Mother”

Try to relax and lie down, Dennis. It’s the best way to overcome Jet Lag.

    Hey D.,

How’s the trip to LA going? I know you’re screening the film on the 7th, what are you up to before then? How’s managing the jet lag storm cloud? Oh, that’s fun that you’re working on DVD extra’s. I think we’ve talked about this, but I totally adore the supplementals for movies, for some of them it’s the best part. I can see how for your particular movie, given the tight shooting schedule and nature of the work, it wouldn’t necessarily be a rich pool for easter eggs. What are you thinking of doing? Did you have the same thing with LCTG?
Speaking of movie “behind-the-scenes”, these set shots are really fun. There’s something super satisfying about seeing the avengers in front of a green screen, and that David Lynch picture is a treasure haha.
Btw, Peggy Ahwesh’s class went very well. I think she’s totally understanding of the fact that I really don’t know much about the technical side of filmmaking, and will mostly be interested in the, I don’t know, “thought” put into my work, I guess. We’re also watching a ton of dope Vampire movies. This week it’s Guy Maddin’s “Dracula” and Dreyer’s “Vampyr”. Have you seen those?
Hope you have a great weekend back in the west coast!

@ DC, here’s wishing you a fantastic time of it in LA!

I was in the DCA print studio yesterday doing some more work on The Call zine and it’s fair coming on in leaps and bounds, although that pic is kind of on the down low. I’m busy on a funding app this weekend that requires me not to have started on the project yet, so this can just be our little secret. I’m applying for funding for a few different things with this – tutorials in working the risograph machine, material costs, website design, that kind of thing. Deadline’s not til Tuesday so I’m on top of things as it stands.

    Dennis,

Noticed you’ll have the movie showing in LA. With Puce Mary there too? Holy fuck. Have I told you that there’s a photo online of Puce Mary screaming at my face online somewhere during a show? She must have thought I was just another one of the hetero noise dudes. 😛
Just thought I should drop some good news, since I have given you a lot of bad lately. Found a publisher that seems to be quite interested in my stuff. He’s featuring some excerpts from my novel on his website too, which is entitled Fucked Up [Excerpts]. I know you’ll probably too busy to check it out, but would you be willing to do a shoutout for me? I’d really appreciate it. 🙂 *blushes*

Okay, invited my brother to go see PGL at the Indiefest since he lives in SF. However, he’s a total recluse and I’m not sure he will actually go. Tried though! Have fun.

Great umm set of sets, Dennis! Hope you’re handling the jetlag ok…

Look forward to the Sunday night screening. Any plans for food/drinks while you’re here?

    Bill
