p.s. Hey. ** David Ehrenstein, Hi. Well, it wasn’t a landslide. In the previous election when he won against her 60% to 30% it was, but an 18% spread this time is as worrying as it is a relief. ** Dominik, Hi!!! Thank you! I agree that’s fair to say. I also get really seasick on boats. Well, I never ate a whole wedding cake, my eyes just wanted me to. I think would have died from toxic shock even as a young lad. I think some LGBTQ stores feel that way. It’s more the events where my impression/experience is that the people who come to the readings want to feel good and ideally get at least a semi-boner, and that’s where the trouble comes in for me. Even though bookstore events stress me out, I would humbly and gratefully accept gig at the SCAB store! And I definitely wouldn’t read whatever I manage to figure out to read tomorrow. Love adding two extra faucets to everyone’s sink, one that pours melted cheese and another one that extrudes guacamole, G. ** Misanthrope, Ta da! There were a handful of dead videos and gifs I had to snip, but it’s still largely whatever the hell you and Flit intended it to be way back when. Oh, sure, I like all kinds of things that others mistakenly think are crappy, ha ha, or, okay, may actually be crappy. I’m no purist, that’s for sure. The Yellow Vests came up, yes, but that movement has been over for quite a long time now, so it wasn’t on the tips of their tongues. ** Bill, Hey, Bill. Yeah, there are quite a few artworks that use that same Noble/Webster trick, and more cleverly too, but they aren’t blood red. Did I read that Mariana Enriquez? I can’t remember. I’ll find out and rectify the absence if it’s a stranger. I’m in between books, but not for long. ** _Black_Acrylic, ‘À l’intérieur’ is indeed a very bloody film. I know Beatrice Dalle a little through friends, and, boy, is she a trip for real. As someone having to deal with the costliness and simultaneous necessity of having solicitors for Zac’s and my new film, I so, so hear you, bro. ** T, Hi, T!!!! Yeah, I’ve wondering what you’ve been doing. It’s weird: sometimes seeing blood sickens me, and sometimes I can be studious about it. Huh. Nothing especially new with me, just the same old mostly film stuff and some theater writing stuff. No dates set for the LA trip yet. Still up in the air and waiting for things to get organised enough out there to warrant the trip. Hopefully in May sometime. Whoa, you’e out of your pad and out of Paris too! Whoa again, Calais! I hope it’s pretty and peaceful and whatever else. I’ve only scooted through there to take the ferry long times ago. Well, let me know when you’re in Paris! We need to hang out and see stuff. I did know that about ‘Paname’ but only after a period of total confusion when mouths emitted the word. Thank you for the track! I only know a teeny bit of FEN. I’ll hungrily imbibe. I don’t have an amazing track in mind to give you in return, but here’s an old warhorse of a little thing I always seem to want to give people and that I might even have foisted on your before: this. Dude, safe trip today, and be here from there as often as it suits you and tweaks you please. xoxo. ** Steve Erickson, No, I try as best I can to fill the thematic posts with art with a capital A if I can. Specificity can be such a relief. Everyone, Steve reviewed the new Orville Peck LP here if you’re so inclined. I’m feeling springier post-Covid (not that we are post-Covid) for some reason. ** trees, Hey, Ted! How’s it going, pal? Thanks a bunch. You enjoying the springtime? I kind of am even though it means summer is on its ughy way. Hugs and much more from moi! ** kacper, Hi, kacper! Welcome! Did it work the way it’s suppose to work in person? Thanks for reading ‘Guide’. What else is going on with you? What’s interesting? Take care! ** Okay. Today I have restored a very festive post from many ages ago made by perennial d.l. Misanthrope and lost d.l. Flit that should have an effect on your one way or another. Your descriptions of said effects would be most welcome. See you tomorrow.

    Hi!!

This post looks like the embodiment of my soul. Thank you to everybody involved!

Oh, fantasy – the cake image was a fantasy. I don’t know what was up with me yesterday; I had a conversation with my brother, and I misunderstood half of what he said too, haha.

Oh, yes, that makes sense. And I had to realize, again, just how different I am from regular people. Hearing an excerpt from any of your books *would* make me feel good, haha. (And I’m not even going down the other road about a semi-boner…) Did you manage to pick a section to read?

Oh, my god, yes. Yes. Love knows me well. This is perfection. Thank you! Love falling down a rabbit hole of obsession every single fucking time he sees a picture of Harry Styles, Od.

Oh I remember this post!!! Actually, I think I might have strayed upon a link to it from somewhere else on the internet, it was definitely one of the first few times I came here. And I adore it!!! I’m struggling with patchy internet on the train but otherwise I would be streaming every track in succession. And then on repeat. But the internet was just sufficient for the 30 seconds of magnificence you linked me!! Damn!! No I’d never seen that!! But I’m very glad I did! A question: has ‘ergodic’ literature ever been featured on the blog? A friend got me wise to it and I’ve been thinking since that it might make a cool post if you were willing to hand me the keys for a day? And will of course keep you posted about my returning!! I’ll be subletting a friends room during August/September who lives down near Place d’Italie, so already super excited to be so close to everything, and then I’ll be back to the same suburb come the autumn, so in other words, yes, I’ll be back soon! And I’ll wish you a Wednesday that’s like a short ride in one of those monster trucks with the massive wheels that they drive over pits of fire and so on, xoT

A teenager on Tumblr would see this and say “it’s aesthetic!”

I’d seen THE ILLINOIS PARABLES before, but I watched O’ER THE LAND & IN ORDER NOT TO BE HERE today. O’ER THE LAND was good, but felt a bit scattershot. The scene with the machine guns is amazing, though. I preferred IN ORDER NOT TO BE HERE – a trip to the sets for a slasher movie whose killer is the surveillance state.

Oh – nice reboot! I remember loving this post the first time round. Nice selection!

Dennis – I arrive in Paris tomorrow morning( Friday)! I’m so happy to be back, finally! It’ll be so nice to see you! Shall I just drop you a text when I’m around and we can go from there?
