p.s. Hey. ** David Ehrenstein, Hi. Everyone, David is experiencing some roughness right now due to capitalism’s ugly grip upon us all, and the Los Angeles Film Critics Association has organised a fundraiser to help him out, and it would be greater than great if you’re in a situation where you could contribute a little to making life easier for our venerable friend. Go here to learn more. Thank you. ** _Black_Acrylic, Hi, Ben. I’m very happy to hear that it went as well as it could. Losing a parent is the strangest and most irreconcilable thing I’ve ever experienced, and I wasn’t even very close to mine. There is a kind of richness to the experience, as wrong sounding as that is to say. It kind of sharp-focuses life and how it works and what it is and isn’t or something. But, yeah, there’s a permanent melancholy and loss that surfaces and submerges and never goes away. At least for me. Be strong, my friend, and look for the wonder in what your relationship left you and what the world that lacks him holds nonetheless, and that search for joy in every circumstance is something you’re extraordinarily good at. Lots of love from me. ** ryan oliver wilkinsonny boy / angusraze is gay, Hi. Oh, yeah, I get boggled all the time when searching out the escorts and slaves. There’s nothing conventionally non-sexual that can’t harden the member of someone out there. Realness and honesty rock, to be dumbass about it. So, never change and all of that. Oh, I just put a video/track by you in an upcoming gig post, and I’ll let you wait to see which one I scooped up. Great about the studio and album finishing. Uh, I have a bunch of stuff to do with the film to work on this weekend, a lot to do with trying to find a Production Manager because that’s our next call of duty. And I have to start working on Gisele Vienne’s new piece. And the new film by one of my favorite filmmakers in the world, James Benning, is screening here, and that’s a must. And I’m going to see the new play by my friend the French film director Christophe Honore. And other and sundry. The vibe is better than it has been and hopefully will only become more so. Take it easy! ** Dominik, Hi!!! No, thank you for doing something that made my Facebook feed excite people through merely sharing news of its existence. My day was pretty good, all in all. Nothing like the clammy, trembling hand of a freaked out person! Thank your love for me for slumming so hard as to become a mere water heater. That’s very saintly of him. Love kidnapping, drugging, and sex trafficking Hate, G. ** Misanthrope, I would imagine such shoes could make any toes twinkly, even yours, you big galoot. ‘All right’ will do! ** Steve Erickson, Hi. Everyone, Here’s Mr. Erickson: ‘My March music roundup for Gay City News, with Heavee, Hurray for the Riff Raff and Guerilla Toss, is out now.’ I did indeed see that announcement. Bated breath. Ouch, on your mom’s migrating arthritis, and high hopes that medication will be the miracle worker it can be. Hope you like the Keener. ** fervorxo, Hi, fervorxo. Welcome, good to meet you! Oh, sure, ‘Ulysses’ is amazing. I haven’t read it for a billion years, but it’s a key instance of literary ultimateness, that’s for sure. ‘Shoulder deep’ is an awesome way to think about it. You like Var! High five! So, what’s going on with you and yours? Hang out, if you’d like. ** Okay. I decided to make you a kind of scary galerie exhibition to get you through your Fridays. There you go. See you tomorrow.

@ DC, thanks for your kind words about my dad Pete this morning, it seems like really good advice. Very much appreciated.

The new episode of Play Therapy is online here via Tak Tent Radio! Ben ‘Jack Your Body’ Robinson returns to bring you classic Italo, Dutch Acid and some Electroacoustic delights too.

      I hope you’re doing well.

Dennis, Okay, this is scarier than any Halloween post ever. I love it.

Hahaha, yeah, I’ll be getting twinkly tomorrow evening when I go out with my friends. I think I said this, but it’s kind of a regular thing we do around St. Patrick’s Day. This one place has good food and they usually will have Irish stuff on the menu. I’m hoping they still have the corned beef and cabbage, which I eat once a year. Derp. Should be fun. My one friend, she’ll be bringing her two kids. For some reason, they like me. You’d love them. Great little kiddos. The little girl once asked her parents, “Why is George the funniest adult ever?” I like that little girl! Hehehe.

Otherwise, just errands and shit this weekend. I’ll be trying to get up with Rigby. It’s been a while. His phone and apps got all fucked. I’ll try to get up with Mieze too.

Hope your weekend is grand, sir.

    Hey Dennis,
Fun day today, some lovely dark images. Might knock some creative juices into rolling on my end. I particularly like Asger Carlsen’s pieces. Mishimata’s are also interesting. Hyper/gore visual dont do much for me unfortunately. I weirdly prefer my extrem gore written out rather than drawn. Not sure why. But I do love gorey movies. Hm. Anyways, how are you doing my friend?

    Hi!!

Today’s post is officially one of my all-time favorites. It’s so, so good. I don’t know if anything’s wrong with me, but I’d display basically any of these pieces in my apartment. But if I had to choose, I’d go for a Roger Ballen or a Sophie Jodoin piece although an Antony Micallef one would be lovely too. And the fifth Peter Beste photo is just ah. What an excellent show! Thank you ever so much for curating it!

Your love’s actions seriously raise the question of who’s Hate in that equation. There’s no point in trying to act like a saint, though – we both know I have plenty of space for this love in my heart, haha. So thank you! Love ordering a pizza and getting a box full of cursed Furbies instead, Od.

Fabulous art here Dennis. You are a museum quality curator sir. I hope you are well – Douglas

Incredible gallery today, Dennis. Love how Roger Ballen and Simen Johan get such disquieting outcomes with relatively simple means. Fábio Magalhães and Antony Micallef, niiiice. Mishimata has the feel of one of your gif pieces. And I’m a big Asger Carlsen fan, after discovering him through your blog.

Ben, good to hear your dad’s funeral went ok. My condolences.

Hey Dennis, end of week was nice, I got to write today (which I haven’t had the time to do lately) and take most of the day to myself, just getting ready to go out to a movie with some friends tonight. My friend’s play was not great haha but she was good in it and I mean, to me at least bad theater is just like watching something crazy that you shouldn’t see but it’s so addictive in how horrible it is, pretty fun. Only working for the rest of the weekend though, maybe I can catch something late on Sunday or something I don’t know. Hope your wave of good news has been continuing. Have a beautiful weekend.

Love this. Trying to get a job that requires me to make a moodboard for possibly doing department store windows (lol) and I kind of want to bring this along. Have never done anything like that so it’s kind of stressing me out. This whole post is great. Dorothea Tanning has something similar going on- twisty witches, I guess? Kye Christensen-Knowles reminds me of Derek McCormack in a way I can’t explain, like a playfulness, or a dehumanising wit. Much to enjoy. Hope you’re going from strength to strength.
    Xx
